Bring Your Own

Here at The Devonshire Arms we have worked hard to create a wine list that appeals to all palates at prices that will both surprise and delight — including the hearty Blason D’Issan, Margaux, a stunning Bordeaux, the crisp, fresh Paco & Lola Albariño, Rías Baixas and — perfect for the summer months — our refreshing Côtes de Provence rosé is hard to beat.

One customer recently commented: “Innovative wine offering, some fantastic options all by the glass, Margaux, immense.”

Quality and choice are at the heart of the extensive wine list that allows customers to try a wider range of wines, compared to those restaurants that provide only a limited range of wines by the glass.

Now, the wine offer is even better!

Our guests can bring their own wine to enjoy in our restaurant. The corkage fee on Mondays is £5 per bottle and £15 per bottle Tuesdays to Sundays.

It’s a flat fee per bottle whether you are lucky enough to have a Jeroboam of Château Palmer kicking around in your cellar or it’s a cheap and cheerful special offer bottle from your local off-licence.

So, on a Monday you could bring in a Magnum of Dom Pérignon to complement your starters, a Jeroboam of Margaux to assist your main, with a bottle of Sauternes to ease your way through desserts and cheese all for £15 — whatever you bring, the new BYO offer all goes to help in these challenging times.

Commenting on the move to allow customers to bring their own wine, co-owner David McHattie said: “We want our customers to enjoy every aspect of their time with us and the chance to bring their own wine simply offers even more choice, flexibility and value in these tough times.

“Most venues that allow customers to bring their own wine is due to their licensing status, but in our case we are fully licensed, we have an amazing value list offering over 30 wines in three glass sizes but see this as a complementary feature whether its to share an amazing wine from your cellar or just to keep the bill down and know our customers will enjoy this opportunity.”
