Tucked away in the heart of the Peak District, just a stone's throw from Chatsworth House, our country pub offers the perfect escape from the everyday madness. Whether you are joining us for a leisurely meal, a memorable overnight stay, or simply a drink by the fire, our welcoming team is on hand to make every visit feel special. We pride ourselves on honest, fresh, locally sourced produce and an extensive drinks list, all served in surroundings that have been thoughtfully redecorated to balance comfort with character. It is the kind of place where guests become friends.
We understand that for many, a trip to the countryside is not complete without the whole family — including the four-legged members. Well-behaved dogs are warmly welcomed throughout the pub, and we ask only that they accompany their owners considerately during meal times. Should you choose to stay overnight, a small additional cleaning charge applies, which we keep reasonable and clearly explained. Our aim is simple: to make sure everyone, on two legs or four, feels at home from the moment they step through our doors.
For those looking to become part of our story, we are always keen to hear from friendly, hardworking people who share our passion for great hospitality. Opportunities span front of house, the kitchen, and housekeeping, with full-time, part-time, and flexible hours available to suit different lifestyles. Working with us means joining a close-knit team in a stunning countryside setting, where no two days are quite the same. If you love people, take pride in what you do, and want to help create memorable experiences for our guests, we would love to hear from you.
